A simple one-volume extension to an inter-war semi-detached house responds to the offset angle of the garden to provide a sunny aspect (almost south-facing) to the family room extension incorporating up-to-date kitchen facilities and family dining space.
Rooflights were incorporated into the new asphalt roof to allow light deep into the new and existing rooms. The sliding folding doors allow the space to be extended into the garden in the summer.
The project was completed in December 2003
